What is Selectronic Power Assist?
Selectronic Power Assist offers you the following benefits over and above your standard 5-year SP PRO Series 2i product warranty.
- An additional 5-year warranty taking your total warranty period to 10 years. (Years 6-10)
- In the unlikely event of a failure (as determined by Selectronic in association with your installer) due to a fault covered by this warranty, a free exchange SP PRO will be dispatched to your installer within 3 Victorian business days after the receipt of a fully refundable security deposit, system photos and data download.
- Your warranty period will be extended by 30 days following a valid warranty repair or exchange of the SP PRO inverter.
- If Selectronic determines that an SP PRO inverter has failed due to a fault covered by this warranty and is within 60 days of purchase, Selectronic will replace your inverter with a brand new one. This offer is only applicable through your retailer/installer. You must have already registered your SP PRO warranty to receive this service.
How do I get Selectronic Power Assist?
1. To qualify for free Selectronic Power Assist, you must, within 180 days of purchase, register the SP PRO’s warranty here and while doing so, provide a valid Select.live serial number. The Select.live serial number is printed on the back of the device and its packaging and is listed under “Settings” on the Owner’s Select.live portal. Select.live is an Internet-based system monitoring device.

2. If you choose not to install or are unable to install a Select.live unit, then you have the option to purchase Selectronic Power Assist once you have registered your standard warranty.

The Fine Print
- If you require an exchange SP PRO under warranty, we will require you to pay a fully refundable security deposit of $3,850 incl GST for SPMC models or $5,500 incl GST for SPLC models. When we receive the faulty inverter back and confirm warranty, we will credit your payment. A credit card may be used for the security deposit.
- If you receive an exchange SP PRO under warranty, the remainder of the warranty period will automatically be applied to the exchange inverter.
- To be entitled to receive an exchange SP PRO, the SP PRO warranty must have been registered.
- Date of purchase is considered as your invoice date for final payment. If you cannot produce proof of purchase, we will use the SP PRO’s date of manufacture.
- If adding an additional inverter to an existing system that does not already have Power Assist but does have Select.live, then the new inverter will receive a 10 year warranty but not Power Assist.
- Power Assist cannot be purchased once the Standard warranty period has expired.
