Installer compensation for Approved Warranty Work

This document applies to claims made on or after July 1st, 2021.
Before carrying out any Warranty work on a Selectronic SP PRO you must contact Selectronic for authority. It is important that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, please do not proceed.
These Terms and Conditions do not supersede any rights you may have under the Australian/New Zealand Consumer Law.
Before you can claim cost reimbursement for SP PRO warranty work, you must obtain approval from Selectronic before proceeding. This is done by raising a support ticket with Selectronic for the SP PRO in question and providing Selectronic with either Select.live login details, a performance data download, or another form of communication with the SP PRO. This will help all parties to ensure the fastest possible resolution for the customer and streamline the claim process.
Selectronic reserves the right to engage another contractor to carry out warranty work as needed.
- SP PRO warranties can vary from 3 years to 10 years. Check with Selectronic to confirm the SP PRO is within the warranty period.
- If you suspect a faulty SP PRO inverter, it is advised that you do not attend site until you have remotely connected to the site using Select.live or another remote communications option. Many system faults are not related to a valid warranty failure of the SP PRO and can often be rectified remotely.
- It is important that the above process is followed especially when there is a long travel time to site. Selectronic will only compensate one site visit per compensation claim.
When a valid warranty claim is confirmed by Selectronic, the following cost reimbursement will apply:

Example: 2 hours travel time to site to replace SPMC481. Travel time of 4 x $90 plus $140 changeover SPMC = $500.00 inc GST.

The Fine Print
- No warranty costs will be paid until warranty is confirmed upon assessment of the returned faulty inverter to Selectronic.
- Installer compensation does not apply to firmware updates of the SP PRO.
- To claim installer compensation, the system must have been installed and successfully commissioned in accordance with the Selectronic installation and technical manuals.
- The installer carrying out the warranty work must be a Licensed Electrical Contractor or have a suitable Clean Energy Council Battery Storage accreditation. Please note that any AC wiring during the changeover process must be carried out by a Licensed Electrical Contractor.
- System owners, consumers (DIY) or any other non-authorized persons cannot carry out the warranty work and therefore cannot claim compensation under this document.
- If no fault is found, or the failure is due to a cause not covered by the Selectronic warranty terms and conditions, then Selectronic will charge the installer for the repair including Freight and service costs.
- To be eligible for installer compensation, the SP PRO warranty must have been registered with Selectronic.
